I agree that this is not a barn cat. But there are rescues that 
specialize in cats, and I would try to find one of them. Often they are 
overburdened, people being what they are. But shelters make me very 
nervous, unless they're absolutely committed to being no kill. I hope 
you find a place for this baby.
