So sorry to hear about Xandy bear and Maggie. Loving healing drool to you, believe me, I know the pain of a great loss.
Debbie, Elder Clara and Bug, I am eternally grateful to you as your dedications were so comforting. I would love to hear the story of Bug, as Bug became a part of the cloud posse when I was in a lapse from the list. I tried to look for it in the archives, but it was beyond my reach.
I had a shock yesterday, that I did not expect. Jean Paul had a cancerous anal gland removed 11/11, and he was given 12-15 months. It was not recommended to do chemo or radiation, and I agreed. His time up is now, but he is doing pretty great.
Jean Paul gets regular checks and a lot of after care, but yesterday, for the first time, he has a new growth where the first was.
Long story short, the blood work, the x-rays and the ultra sound all indicate it is a go to do surgery to remove the growth next Tuesday.
I could not breath yesterday after I heard this news. I barely functioned.
There is a "GOD" in the world because on Mon. night, Carolyn, Lucy's mom called to tell me Tri-state basset rescue found a home for Lucy.
OMG, I would have stepped in to help, but I am grateful to Tri-state this time.
Maggie Wags, I hope you continue to get better. I have done the allergy route with Pierre Sr., and it is a difficult task. You have one of the most loving and wonderful Mom's in the world.
Snoopy, golly gee, it has been a long time since I have had a corned beef sandwich, and you have had two in more time than I have had in years. Be careful little boy, those kind of foods will put love handles on you and they are easier to gain than to lose. I know your Mom exercises a lot. She is going to have to make you a marathon runner with her. BTW, we have cans of corned beef hash in the kitchen, and since I joined weight watchers and finally getting it a little bit right, I have not eaten any processed or canned food. Sis made a can for herself, and then shared some with the hounds, and she said she shared less than a TBSP with each, and at least 3 of the 8 who slept with me had gurgle belly all night, and all had a little squirt poop today. Sis said it was because of the Vet visits, but maybe it was a combination. I cannot think canned corned beef hash is good for them, and I know it is not good for me. I am over it.
I love being in the diet community because not only am I getting smarter and healthier about choices for myself, I will transition that to the hounds.
This is the first year I didn't go to Westminster, always a viewer, not an exhibitor.
I, too, and glad the basset got no. 2 in the hounds. His basset last year won the breed as well, but I am not sure it is the same dog.
The judges don't eat lemons. Even if they have prejudice, hey, we all know they know and love dogs of all breeds, and keeping the entertainment alive is all part of the package. Who knows, they may have to do it and hate to be on TV. I doubt that is the case, but I am just trying to spin life positive for a change.
Peace, Love and healing drool to all
Jackie and the herd, the momma so grateful for all her blessings in life
