[Dailydrool] article with a caveat

There is a new study out regarding neutering and spaying under a year. I am
going to put the link in here but I caution everyone to read carefully and
completely. This was a SMALL study group, with no real control group.
So don't start getting crazy. They also used only one or possibly two
breeds neither of which were Bassets but the findings suggest some very
compelling problems.
That said, I have seen other studies but cannot provide them, indicating
that early neutering and spaying creates serious problems with the closing
of the growth plates. This may be a tempest in a teapot or it may be the
next "vaccine" debate. To make this Basset related I will say that Conley
read it with great relief, since he is still intact.
