[Dailydrool] Five Hours!

I'm so proud of my little boy Dexter - five hours today in the house out of
his crate and no chewing! I've been watching him for a couple of months now,
and he hasn't chewed on anything except for his own toys. So I've started
giving him some freedom. (He's not quite two years old.)

When Maggie was still with me, I had to crate him every time I left because
he irritated poor Maggie something fierce <grin>! After Maggie passed, I
stopped closing his crate door, and he had free run of the backyard and the
utility room where his crate and the other dog beds are kept. Then yesterday
I left him in the house (doggie door still open) when I went to the grocery
store. No trouble then, so this morning I left him in when I went to work.
Of course, I should also point out that I cleared my desk, dining room
table, end table, etc. of anything that has captured his interest in the
past - like my Bluetooth headset, my mouse and gel wrist support mouse pad,
TV remote, all my loose papers, etc.: I may be testing him, but I'm not
tempting him. 

Anyway, since I usually only send out "bad" news, I had to send out some
good news this time instead.
