[Dailydrool] thank goodness for the bath dialogue

I was so happy to read the drool posts about less is more in bathing bassets. We only do it a few times a year, and I am with them 24/7, I don't smell anything funky anymore. Nigel usually gets an infection in his lipperflappers, and I have the tools to deal with that, Jean Paul gets a funky moist neck, and I have the tools to deal with that, all the other hounds, except for sometimes a funky ear flair up are AOK.
Question - Pierre is going to have his dentistry in a couple of weeks. He won't allow me to brush his teeth. He is a bit defensive about this. His ALT was a bit elevated, but not so much that his Vet is concerned for the procedure. His previous blood work was 2 years ago, and he is only almost 4. I recently did a food swap from Blue Buffalo diet formula to Wellness Core, low fat. Is that something to be considered?
Healing drool to all and great thanks.
