Spangler is a Dashing Basset friend through the blinddogs list. Though she is not a basset, she is a wonderful dog who wants to share the truth that even dogs with not so great vision (like bassets who suffer from glaucoma) and dogs with other issues are worth saving. She's trying to get that message out by having more room to tell her story. If she can get enough votes, she will be able to write more than the small blurb that's on this page.

So maybe some Droolers would like to vote for this sweet girl who came back into rescue twice because her adopters just couldn't deal with the special needs that came up as a result of Spangler's fight with distemper. Spangler almost lost her life before she came into rescue, but one person kept her alive and trusted that she would recover from this terrible disease. This "Labmation," as this mix calls herself, is a real fighter.

Spangler's very devoted foster mom went through so much with her, getting her healthy and taking her back in twice and rehabbing her again because the adoptive homes hadn't kept up with her seizure medications. But now it looks as if Spangler's found the perfect forever home with people who take in special-needs dogs.
