Sorry to say, but one of the Bassets that lives here does know how to 
get up on the dining room table, if there is incentive enough -- e.g. 
food left behind by distracted owners OR left behind paper napkins.  She 
also eats cardboard and paper napkins (and Q-Tips and rabbit poop and 
metal watchbands and jingle bells and.....)
