[Dailydrool] an Arnie story

Good evening,

I want to say thank you to all of you for your love, support, prayers, and
drool. My Mom came to town last week, and the kids just love Grandma. It
was quite the scene to see Boomer and Babe push each other around to try to
get my moms attention. As Mom was leaving, I told her how fortunate I was
to have Babers and Boo. My Mom replied, "Yes, they are great companions." I
wouldn't have these companions if you here at the DD had not been patient
with me, and taught me all the little tricks over the years. So thank you,
all of you!!

As i read through the last DD that I received, and I saw the post about
poor Elvis, it reminded me of what happened with my ornery Arnie. It makes
me sad, and then I get mad.

Those of you that remember when I lost dat onery Arnie, may recall my
battle with my former neighbor feeding all of my Bassets cr at p like hot
dogs. When I confronted the former neighbor, I got the "it's just 1/3 of a
hot dog. What's the big deal?" I explained it to him, or tried to get him
to realize that Basset Hounds are not like some other dogs, they are simply
not able to process some of that crud.

Guess what I found the other day? One of my roommates found a very small
gate in the corner of the yard that was once shared with the former
neighbor. Lets just say that it would be very bad if I ever see that former
neighbor again. I am so upset that I know know that it wasn't anything that
happened in my house, or my yard that made him so sick that he never
recovered.

Arnie had been ignored, and just used as a stud Basset, locked in a tiny
crate, and his back showed the evidence of his nightmarish history. and my
past neighbor, who was always complaining about something, had put in a
small gate at the bottom of the fence where I couldn't see it.

Get better Elvis. Please.
