Yesterday I had the bassets with me when I picked up m husband at his work. we were sitting outside when a woman who was walking by stopped to admire the boys. "Oh my!", she exclaimed, "what unusual looking dogs! (Bassets are uncommon here) Look how long they are!  and how short!  and look at those feet with those huge claws!" "Why, they look just like Komodo dragons!"
