I told my husband the story of the woman comparing Basset hounds to Komodo Dragons. He said, "that makes sense. she must have smelled Bo's breath".

Komodo dragons (a Basset hound sized lizard that lives in the southern Indonesian islands)  kill their prey by poisoning them. their mouths are full of toxic bacteria. they bite their prey and poison them, then follow the prey until it dies of poisoning, then devour them. A most unsavory creature. commander Bo was much offended by the comparison.
