I think it is always wise to err on the side of caution and that if I had
all the money back I have spent on x-rays finding out that my dogs had gas
and/or were maybe pre-bloat, I could build my house on the coast and have a
private chef.

What you did was obviously exactly right. If my dog did that I would make
the same assumption and do the same thing and if he did not stop I would
have headed for the ER.
