[Dailydrool] Parade

Hi it's Gracie,

It's Easter apparently and while we celebrate quite differently (weird crackers and odd dinner parties) we still march in the parade.  Every year.  We got out of wearing the silly hats and even the ears but we have to go and be surrounded by gazillions of people and let them pet us.

So we did it, we went and we saw and gazillions of little tiny sticky fingers petted us as we paraded with Golden Gate Basset Rescue (I am a GGBR girl you know).  

We were staged away from the ponies this year (after what Snoopy did before no pony's and bassets together anymore) so now because of Snoopy we get staged with the 3 marching bands.  They have competitions to see who is louder and sometimes Snoopy wins.  Snoopy did ok but he doesn't trust a boy dog who isn't neutered around me and LuLu and there were a couple and he might have mentioned to stay away from me and LuLu (and momPerson and the teenager too) once or twice.  Oh .... and then when we went to start marching out of the staging area onto the parade Snoopy started to shout PERSONAL BUBBLE.......PERSONAL BUBBLE ....... give a basset hound some room over here PERSONAL BUBBLE ...... it was ok .... everybody laughed and somebody said "oh, poor Snoopy" and he got to stand on the side of everyone with me and LuLu as a buffer until we spread out again.

The parade is very silly and somewhat inconvenient but we went and we were admired by a lot of people who got to hear about rescue so it's all good.
