In my mind, there is no doubt that bassets can tell time. If I forget to 
give the hounds their pills, Horton will remind me just a little after I 
was due to. Jane always knew when her papa should come home and awaited 
him at the door (until he ended up working such crazy hours that we 
never knew when he'd be home).

And of course, if I miss meals, they let me know all about it.

The only one who needs a watch is me.
