Hi it's LuLu,

While I rarely post I had to this time. Anita you are a rare and precious gift to the occupants of planet earth and I am so glad you are walking the planet because you are kind and sincere and selfless and good.

I am so glad Baxter and Bunny found you and were able to live a happy, well cared for life together since September of last year And I am relieved that Baxter has you now, along with Holly and Bea.

Fly free sweet Bunny.

Holly, Bea, Baxter and Anita I hope the memory of Bunny will soon bring more smiles than tears. I am so sorry for your loss.

Love,
LuLu (along with her momma who is too teary eyed to post just now)

Baxter and I took our Bunny Girl in and let her go today around noon. It’s a little too quiet here this evening. Baxter and Bunny were a bonded pair, so I wanted to make sure he understood what was happening with Bunny. After she was gone we put her on the floor so he could sniff her and realize she was dead. He groomed her every day, so I was not surprised to see him grooming her eyes and face two different times, he knew. I brought him home and then left for an hour or so, went to have lunch and just sit down and de-stress. When I got back home, everyone was pretty subdued, Baxter must have told Holly and Bea what happened, which is what I was hoping. I could have taken Holly with us, but Bea the ADHD lunatic would have made the whole thing a circus, and I did not want that. Fingers and paws crossed that Baxter copes with his loss. I do not normally pick up cremated remains, we just have them cremated in a common group, but this time I
decided to do a private cremation and get Bunny’s ashes. In the past other Droolers have said that when they brought the cremains home, their other dogs sniffed the box and then everything went back to normal. I’m hoping this will help Baxter and the girls, knowing that Bunny is home. We’ll see.
