They found out today after an ultra sound that Maggie had many tumors on her kidneys and in her liver...they knew that she was ready to make her way to the Bridge..she was held  and in her ear soft whispers of their love as she gently made her way to the Bridge. 
> Two days ago Maggie gave Marlene and Bill one last wonderful memory and smile. Marlene was making special Christmas cookies ...Maggie lifted her head and wagged her tail wanting one of these yummy cookies...Bill got down and feed Maggie bites of the fresh made cookie...Maggie just loved it.

> It is said that the brightest star in the night sky is Sirius the dog star...tonight I do believe the brightest will be Maggie the basset star.
