[Dailydrool] Songs To Sing to Bassets

[Lilie Basset]

I take Lilie and Daffodil to the vet for nail and butt work.  Neither likes 
to be in the car --- or rather, they'd prefer to be in the driver's seat 
with me.  I take one at a time and I sing to them.

Lilie gets "Daisy, Daisy..Give me your answer do" which she likes because 
she recognizes the name of our Yorkie.  Since I often call Daffodil 
"Daffydowndilly", I sing Lavender Blue to her since it has a lot of dilly 
dillies in it.  Both of them have been subjected to "How Much Is That Doggie 
In the Window" and then they get a small lecture regarding puppy mills...

I'm not sure that it really matter what you sing.  They are simply 
fascinated by what you are doing that they settle down to listen.

Aren't they fascinating creatures?
