I haven't posted in a while either. I read every drool digest and enjoy them very much. The Lowdownhounds continuously sling lots of drool far and wide to all in need. We always have major amounts of drool here with cheddar cheese as incentive. We're very sad when we read of hounds leaving for the bridge. We  miss Debbie Winchester's posts and Elder Clara's bridge reports. Tuckerman misses hearing about Brudder Elwood's antics.

Jasmine's had  gooey black sticky gunk in her right ear for almost a month. I clean it out daily which normally takes care of the problem with my hounds. She isn't in any pain and doesn't scratch at her ear at all. In fact, I wouldn't have known by her behavior that her ear was yucky. I plan to thoroughly flush her ears. S he has lots of those deep nooks and crannies that are hard to get into with cotton balls or tissue. After her ear is thoroughly dry, I'll need to treat it with something. Not sure what to use so I decided to ask for input. There' s a tiny bit of blood on the cotton balls  towards the end of the cleaning but there aren't any open sores or active bleeding going on. I use a lighted earscope so I can see way down in there. She likes it when I clear out all the gunk and will push against my hand while I'm swabbing her ear out.

Noelle gets the chu nks of crud stuck on the edges of her ear. She's alwys got her nose to the ground . She doesn't seem to mind having them pulled off and ear ears brushed gently. I always think of one of those mud racers that take their 4X4's through the mud pits. I'm sure it bothers me much more than it does her.

I enjoy reading the limericks. They are so cute.

Here's  my attempt at a limerick:

Our home is full of hounds

whose  fu r is all around.

The fur coats every floor and chair

but only the Dadslave is in despair.
