Hi, Virginia.

 I just wanted to let you know you aren't alone in your feelings. I think we all feel sad as our beloved dogs get older, because we know they can't stay with us forever. I have a 13 year old Basset named Bobo. I also have a full time job. I know our time together is getting shorter and I want to spend as much time with him as I can. I'm purposely freeing up my evenings and weekends so that I have more time for Bobo and Scout, my 12 year old Lab. Our dogs live in the moment. They don't think about the past or future. They're just happy to be with us when we're with them. Also, old dogs sleep alot as well. I'm sure they are happy in their dreams:) Enjoy your time with your baby.
