[Dailydrool] weed killer

Candy asked:  <Has anyone tried to use the solution of 1 gallon vinegar, 2 cups epson salts & 1/4 cup of dawn as weed killer?  I assume it is safe for our houndage?  Candy Dusek>
I currently use this similar recipe: 1 gal vinegar, 2 c. salt (regular table salt, cheap from club-store) and 1 Tablespoon of Dawn dishsoap.  It works Very Well and kills the weeds AND grass too, so be careful as you spray!  I don't let Norma get near it till it's dried.  Also use in plastic sprayer only, not sure why? maybe the salt/vinegar would corrode glass?  I mix in gallon milk jug then pour in old spray bottle that has stream & spray.  Not sure where I got the recipe from but I do recall it being kid/animal safe (again, when dry).
