Perhaps you could go to a home improvement store and purchase a large section of the astro-turf carpet and put that down until you can establish some sort of lawn. It would at least protect his little feet.

I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.   We are moving and the house we will be living in has no grass at all - just dirt and a little cement.   But in the dirt area lot of little sticker things that are quite small, smaller than the eraser on a pencil, but have a very sharp point on one side and almost are almost glue like on one side.   They stick to the bottom of shoes and are hard to get off.   We are very worried about Cooper's feet since he will be going out into this mess.   He is mostly an inside dog but does go out when necessary and sometimes, if its not too hot, to sunbathe.   I have no idea what to do to protect his feet and am hoping someone out there has dealt with the same thing and has suggestions for us.
