I am so glad the bumps turned out to be cysts and understand the problem with greens for I feed mine broccoli and it can create gas that makes green flies rush for air J

Subject: [Dailydrool] Update from the three Bs

Well, Bugsey and Browyn went to the vet yesterday. First the good news: Bugsey's ear infection is gone! Everyone do a happy dance! We have been battling that stupid thing since the end of May.

Now for Browyn. I thank everyone for convincing me I wasn't being stupid for worrying about the lumps. The lumps are just cysts. No big deal in and of themselves, but they are partof a bigger picture.

My skinny, little bundle of energy has been gaining weight and slowing down a little. Yes I will admit it. I like that she will actually lay on the couch and sleep through an entire movie, but that really isn't her. She will be 4 sometime next week, so it isn't like she is turning ancient. I had her on a diet. I am going to explain this in terms of a 140 lb. woman so you get the picture. It would be like this woman dropping her calories from 2000 a day to 1500 a day, AND gaining 8 pounds in a week.

I am a bit of a dictator when it comes to what the bassets eat. Yes, I know how many calories they eat a day. Hubby thinks I carry it too far from a calorie standpoint, but he follows the food plan because of the food allergies and their treats are expensive and he thinks I spend way too much on their food. No children come to visit. So, I really do know what she is eating.

I think we would all agree the above described woman would have a right to be mad and wonder what on earth is going wrong with her. So, the vet pulled a senior panel on her and saved some for any extra tests. He thinks she is either having adrenal or thyroid gland problems. Both can cause greasy skin and blocked pores leading to cysts.

Meanwhile I was told Beauford might want some tshirts to keep him warm this winter with his big bald patches.

Oh! And we have learned that Bugsey and turnip greens don't get along. He gets wicked gas that makes him very uncomfortable and the stench is not good for the rest of the family. The cauliflower and broccoli were great.

Sending drool to all in need!
