[Dailydrool] Miss Magnolia

Miss Magnolia is spending the night in the vetspital. She is 10 years old and, not including her tendency for "bumps" and allergies...has been very healthy. This morning, she refused breakfast, drank two bowls of water (she believes water bowls should be empty) and just trembled all morning. We took her to the vet, who couldn't find anything specific immediately, but said that she has a temperature (103-ish) and a rapid heart rate (200). Recommended that she be admitted for blood work and urinalysis...we would decide later if she should spend the night. The later call reported that temp was still about the same, but heart rate was better...about 150. Blood work showed an elevated white blood count...but nothing much otherwise. They hadn't been able to obtain a sample for urinalysis yet. She planned to start her on antibiotics and give her subQ fluids and see how she is in the morning. 

Hoping for good news in the morning...
