Just googled Bufos in Hawaii. the scientific name is Bufo marinus. they are also called Cane toads and are from South America but were introduced to Hawaii, the Caribbean, and Florida to eat insects in sugar cane fields. probably not a problem for most of mainland USA. If a dog gets hold of one, the owner should immediately wash out the dog's mouth, especially gums, with running water, and get it to a vet as soon as possible. the toxins from the toad cause seizures and death.
