I am deeply sorry to hear of the passing of your precious Uncle Milty.  
My Nellie was my soul mate girl, so I get it.  All I can say is try not to spend too much time alone and keep pictures all over of him.  That is what helped me with the loss of Nellie.But each person is different and knows what is right for them. 
My thoughts to you and your pain.  Biscuit is drinking extra water so he can sling drool your way.
