[Dailydrool] Smelling the roses

Has anyone ever explained why dogs like to roll in stuff we'd rather
they didn't? With their super-sensitive noses, you'd think it would
result in sensory overload, wouldn't you? And why horse droppings, cow
patties, or worse yet, long-since dead things? Why do they WANT to smell
like that? Isn't it dangerous? One would think a fierce predator would
be attracted to the smell of horse or cow (yum!) with a side of dog...
It's a puzzlement. Somebody go google.
