[Dailydrool] Aug. 2nd calendar kids

That is my Bosley ATB (June 13) and Sunny on today’s calendar
page. No smiles for the camera - just give it up, Mom!  

Bosley was the sweetest boy and we miss him a lot - our hearts
are still hurting. Sunny is a brat. She will be 7 in November and
acts like she a 2 year old most of the time.  Today is her Gotcha 
Day and in 2011, a couple of months after losing our speed bump,
Elmo,we made the drive to Louisville, KY to get a skinny little girl of
34 lbs. to bring her into our pack.  An escape artist, she got out
of our fences 9 times in one weekend! Fortunately we were
watching her and kept her safe; Bill had to replace some fencing
and make adjustments to other sections and we finally got her
corralled in the 2 dog yards we have. In the house we had to
stack 2 baby gates to keep her off of the white couch in the
front room. Today, she will open the gate to the foyer and
fly up the stairs to find her daddy who is her person. While
I was laid up for so long with my ankle and leg, he spoiled
her rotten. We are trying to overcome some of that but she
is one stubborn houndie. 

In October of last year we adopted Maggie from BHRG - 
she was thought to be about 8 but it turns out she’s probably
at least a couple of years older.  And so we have only 12 paws
at our house now and no boy houndies for the first time in just
about 30 years.  Bill is okay with that, but I am not so sure.
We will see what life brings us.

Sunny says everyone deserves a treat to celebrate her 
special day so get to it, slaves!
