[Dailydrool] The cost of inedible delights

This is Ms Merta Lou, Professional Girl Basset
I personally know the cost of delectable inedibles.
I have recently returned from eating a piece of sharp copper tubing and a
rock and the total bill was around $2000 for the diagnostics and surgery.
I personally, did not have to pay for this although my adopted parents did.
Fortunately Mother has something called pet insurance and on a whim she
took out a policy on me just a few weeks before I became gustatorially
experimental.
(My word for the week: Gustatory)
What a clever Mother I have.
She is justifiably horrified at the $4000 tab listed for the same surgery.
