[Dailydrool] Siobhan (ATB)

Yesterday afternoon, Janie Anne and I gave Siobhan the only gift we had left for her.  We and Dr. Jeri sent her on her Journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

She had fought a courageous fight, cancer doesn't seem to be able to be defeated.  Along with her bad heart, her quality of life was quickly disappearing.  I made the hardest decision I have ever had to do in my life, but I hope she knows it was out of love and compassion.

Siobhan had always been a vibrant, active and curious pup.  Towards the end she could hardly stand and just wasn't Siobhan.  You have always told me that she would let me know when the time came.  She didn't seem to be in pain, but it was only a matter of time, she looked at me and I knew what she was telling me.

Dr. Jeri made a house call and her compassion and love helped Janie Anne and me through the terrible ordeal.  Janie Anne crawled up on the mattress Siobhan was on and gave her one last sniff, I was impressed and happy with that.  I think she knows Siobhan is gone but she keeps looking for her and knows something happened.

Thank you all for the help through the last little while, I don't think I could have dealt with this without you all.

Our Dear friend Jackie Chazey who recently lost her beloved Pierre JR. suggested that he and Siobhan could be boyfriend and girlfriend in Heaven, this makes me so happy, thank you Jackie.

I could probably go on forever talking about my little Siobhan, but I know most of you know what I'm experiencing and I don't wish to bore anyone.

I am asking everyone if you can find a spare minute or two to say a little prayer for Siobhan and one for Janie if you will.

All of our love, prayers and drool go to everyone who has had a loss or are experiencing and difficulties.
