Our Bobo was fluent in both spoken and sign language because our son is deaf. If we wanted Bobo to come in from the out at speed, we didn't have to shout. We just stood at the big back window, gave it a tap to get his attention, and signed, "food." He could be quite hasty when he wanted to :)
