​Add some pumpkin-- like a teaspoonful-- to each meal. Make sure it is the
puree and not the pie filling. It will help. It is high in fiber. Yes it is
very common in Bassets because they have such an oily coat, hence also,
that good ole hound dog smell. Conley has to have his done fairly often but
the pumpkin has helped a lot. MertaLou's are very moveable which makes it
hard to express them. The pumpkin also helped her and it, as an added
benefit, firms up their stools.
