[Dailydrool] Amelia update and thanks

Thank you to everyone who reached out about Amelia and her vestibular incident.  She went Friday for her recheck at the vet and they now think she had a small stroke and could have lost much of the sight in her right eye.  He said he couldn't really tell conclusively but with her head still tilted that way and her unsteadiness and even noticing food or treats in that side he did a few tests and thought that a lack of sight would be the reason. He also mentioned perhaps she lost some of her scent of smell which is why she isn't eating too much. 
Everyone suggested an elevated feeder which we bought. And that helped. But we also bought some tiny cans of wet food to mix w her kibble. And I'm wondering if she's being so picky just because she likes that better than the dry! I wouldn't put that past a basset!
So Amelia will carry on and we will hope for the best. She's 14-15 so we are all quite attached and hoping for a longer time with her.
