Doug:
Now that Millie has discovered barking, she's decided she really likes 
it. Part of that is because barking sends endorphins into the brain. 
That makes her feel good, so she keeps on barking. We have the same 
problem with our Horton, who loves to bark at other dogs and my husband. 
It would be easier to stop the behavior if it didn't feel so good.
