[Dailydrool] Strokes and Bassets; help please...

Hi : ),

I need a bit of help please...our almost 11 year old basset, Vinny, appears 
to be having some kind of neurological event-the vet feels it could be a 
stroke or a mini stroke. Right now we are to give Vinny 10 mgs of Prednisone 
twice a day for the next few days and then taper him off the steroid. Right 
now, he's not himself, aloof, walking in circles, appearing to sleep but 
staring with his eyes open, and growling whenever our other 2 bassets come 
near him. He's still eating like a champ and doing his business outside.

Just wondering if anyone has had this experience before, I understand I need 
to wait to see if Vinny has any disability and what the extent of his stroke 
consequences may be.
