It is I Duncan the perfect. I am very sorry to report that Ms. Shelby the basset set off on her trip to the rainbow bridge. During the surgery the vet found cancer had spread all over her stomach and even if they removed the spleen, it would only give her months. Shelby’s mommy elected to send her on her way rather than to keep her and feel pain. 
 
We don’t know the exact details yet, just know she was set free leaving a huge hole in both mommy’s hearts. Shelby turned 9 this month, far too young to set comfortably with mommy. Mommy will be making a special visit to Shelby’s mommy for moral support. I Duncan the perfect, have resolved to keep mommy close by until the visit is made to keep mommy’s spirits up.
