[Dailydrool] No Rawhide

I do not give rawhide, pig ears or bully sticks but I do buy antlers.
They're expensive and last a long time. Also they have toys altho they do
not take toys into crates with them (their choice) they may have antlers. I
buy the ones cut in half so they can work on the marrow and I am lucky in
that I do not have dedicated chewers.
When I have puppies I buy Nylabones and antlers and the hard rubber chew
toys. MertaLou loves things that crunch and rattle (like eyeglasses, tv
remotes, water bottles,) and also hard things (like copper piping, rocks
and pennies, as well as pieces of cables that repairmen drop on the ground,
and so on.)
For her I buy the special toys that sound like paper crunching and antlers.
Doc likes the antlers too, but being NotaBasset is more attentive to
details such as MomPerson rushing at him shrieking DROP IT NONONONLEAVEIT.
To date Merta Lou has had two surgeries to remove foreign bodies. And it is
not that we don't watch her like a hawk and patrol the yard on a regular
basis. She is a special child.

MomPerson to Doc and MertaLou  (there should be more names there, don't you
think? Two seems like such a small number.)
