I would miss the Drool if it went away.  Because it is moderated the posts are more "considered" than Facebook and generally politics-free.   I think I was one of the first non-USA/Canada posters (Ireland) and made many great friends through going to basset events advertised here.

I've learnt so much from other basset owners through this list, laughed and cried and shaken my head in wonder.    Without encouragement from this list and the friends made through it, I could not have managed a non-walking basset for over 3 years.  This list taught me to recognise bloat and spinal injury.

If anyone had the time to set up a DD website again I think it would help encourage new members and might be a place where photos could be sent.
