> Thursday night Gallagher acted normal!  Normal for him anyway!  At his vet appointment the next day, the vet was thrilled at the improvement in his ears.  She explained that while he may have early onset of CCD, it was more likely that he was just in so much pain that confusion stepped in.  Yesterday we had that terrible nor’easter storm with lots of wind and rain.  Gallagher did not want to go out.  NORMAL behavior!!!   Today he’s been normal.  Instead of staring off to space of just lying down on his walk today, he got the scent of something new and followed his nose.  The neighboring farm has what we call “Oreo Cows”.  Gallagher, Guinness and MacKenzie were enthralled.  Gallagher did not want to come home and wanted to stay and watch his new friends.  NORMAL behavior.  He stays on these ear meds for another 2 weeks.  I’m so glad to have my big squishy boy back!  The vet suggested that if his behavior started to get strange that melatonin was a good place to start.
