Dear Mr Morse
This is little MertaLou professional Lady Basset just writing to wish you
well.
I have not sniffed you, I have not had the privilege and I understand that
you live far awat across some large pond. (We have a pond and if you like
you are welcome to come stay with us and use our pond) (It is not very big
however)

I have heard much about you and I understand that my female caretaker ( I
have hired her on a probationary status: she thnks this is her home:
IMAGINE!!) (That will be the first fantasy to go).

Anyway I have been told that you like kitty delicacies in particular and
because you are ailing I have collected some that I found deposited in our
yard (by the pond--imagine that!) which I am endeavoring to  send to you. I
am told that parcel post takes some kind to get from here to there and am
concerned that there may be some "changes" that occur in the package.
Nevertheless, we shall persist!!
Please accept this small token of my love and appreciation for a
Magnificent Hound who we all treasure and hold dear.
