Our first well-bred basset, Sarah, had a cherry eye. It had been tacked down and popped back up, all before we got her at age 5 months. Our vet said it was cosmetic and we didn’t need to address it further, so we didn’t. She lived a long life with her cherry eye, and it never caused any problems for her.
