This is our main fundraiser and we really hope you attend and help support BHROM. Our amazing two day event starts on Saturday, May 18 at the Orion Oaks Dog Park 2500 Joslyn Rd, Orion Charter Township, MI 48360. The park is completely fenced with a covered pavilion and restrooms. Bring your bassets and their siblings to this fun filled, off-lead event from 11 am – 4 pm. Hot Dogs, Brats, Chips, Pop and Water will be available. There will be a registration table just outside of the event and we are asking for a donation of $5 per family to enter the event. All activities at the event use tickets which are for sale at registration. We will have TWO raffles this year, for those of you who just can’t wait for the winning to begin! There is the silent auction with some awesome items including the right to be King and Queen of the parade. Human games will include the ring toss where you can win your own wood cutout of a basset hound, the frisbee toss for prizes and PLINKO! And of course there will be dog games! These are a huge hit and be sure to bring your cameras! Parents of rescued dogs will be able to purchase a “Walk of Fame” star for their pups which they can take home! This year we will have the ultimate costume contest throughout the event. Come prepared to compete for trophies! Get hounded by the Pup-arazzi! Walk the red carpet and get your Swag (I mean Wag) Bag! Here are the categories and it’s all about the movies. Best Actor and Best Actress: This is for an individual hound costumed as your favorite movie character. Best Picture: One or more hounds, costumes, background, props; go all out to set the scene for the Puparazzi. Best Ensemble Cast: Hounds, Hoomans and other pets! Get your whole gang together for the perfect movie cast. Best Stunt: A fan favorite! Start practicing your basset tricks for the live, on stage performance. Best Cinematography: Create your movie poster and let the voting begin!!! Everyone at the park will be able to vote using their tickets. The top ticket getter wins the Trophy! The Awards ceremony will begin at 3pm so make sure you come early and give the judges time to view your creations! Remember to have your 15 second acceptance speech ready and don’t run long or the howling will begin!! The final Raffle drawing will begin when the Awards have completed. SPECIAL NOTE: The park requires a $5 parking pass to be displayed in your vehicle. This money goes to the park and is not a donation to the rescue. DAY 2! The BIRMINGHAM PARADE! Yes! Liquid starts working almost immediately. The pill had to dissolve
before the benadryl works. So in a serious emergency, liquid will work
faster.
I have a lot of trouble with allergic reactions. I have little bottles all
dosed and ready to go for me. With the liquid, I can re-evaluate every
10-15 minutes and decide if I need another dose of benadryl or epi-pen. The
pills take 20-30 minutes to take effect.
