I have not written much about her yet, but here it goes. First, she is
emaciated. But she is eating well here. Next, she is between five and
six, and the shelter believes she was used for breeding. When they got
her, she was discarded from the breeding situation and was full on mammary
tumors. The shelter did the surgery to remove the tumors, but they did
not biopsy them. That was early in Dec. They did however preserve the
tumors so I brought them to my vet for analysis.
I should have results tomorrow. She is lyme positive, and I should find
out more about that on Monday as well. Yesterday, I had to bring her in
because she blew something in her back and struggles to walk. She is
getting a second opinion about that on Monday as well. I cannot believe
how much crap is in her life right now. I am having trouble typing this as
my hands won't stop shaking. She is just so sweet, though. We have to
stay confined in one room in the house, no stairs, and I use a belly band
for short leash only outs. Her first day, she was having so much fun
exploring the yard, the house, tossing her toys. Anyway, tomorrow is one
step closer to information and the plan of action. And, she had cherry
eye, and depending on everything else, she will get surgery for that.

Healing drool to all in need,

Jackie and Nana Bean
