Carol,

I am so sorry to hear about Cooper. Cooper knew how much you and your
husband loved him. Cooper also knew how much he loved you, Carol.

Please try not to blame yourself. I understand your pain. I sent Boomer
with my veternarians assistant on Tuesday. I don't drive, and his place is
outside of town.

I found Babe inside her crate Thursday morning. She had passed and gone to
the Bridge overnight.

The following morning, Doc called, and said Boomer was going downhill fast.
On a good day, it's a half hour from my place to Dr James house. For a
moment, I thought that I'd try to get a ride out there. I told Doc James to
let him go, because I didn't want him to suffer.

I'm tearing up, I know how hard this must have been for you, and my heart
goes out to you and your family. Boomer was my first Basset Hound. He was
also my therapy dog, minus the training. I felt so awful and guilty that I
wasn't there for him the way he was for me.

Someone on here mentioned that Boo Boo wouldn't want me to be upset. It
took awhile to process it all.

And I'm certain that Cooper wouldn't want you to feel bad, or guilty. You
allowed that sweet boy to have life, and a good life. Sad aroos from
Fletcher tonight.
