NICK'S ADVENTURES - MY BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT EVER

It started out like any other Christmas Eve day. Dad was running around
trying to gather up all the dog hair off the floor 'coz the "little people"
were coming and one of them is still a "four-legger" . he still crawls. Mom
was baking those famous chocolate pies and wrapping presents. Morey and I
were guarding the pies in the kitchen. Really, I was guarding Morey so he
didn't fall off the "Chocolate-holics Wagon". The other boys were stealing
wrapping paper tubes from mom and sword fighting with them. Just a regular
crazy day at our house.

Soon the little people came, the big people came and Santa Claus came!
Everybody got presents from him . including the four-leggers. I got a new
gumma dinosaur! As everyone was opening their presents, Johnny tried to
"help" them by stealing the ribbons and ripping up the paper. Dad wasn't
very happy about picking up 3420402 nickzillion shreds of paper and ribbon.

After a while, everyone went home to be tucked in for Santa's arrival at
their house. We all settled down in front of the fireplace and snoozed with
visions of dog cookies dancing in our heads. Mom and Dad were snoozing too,
'coz when the phone rang at 12:30 am nick-o'clock, they both about jumped
out of their skin! Mom started getting excited and said something about
puppies . that is about the only thing that mom gets that excited about!
Next thing I know, Mom is putting on her boots and slip-sliding out of the
driveway. I went back to sleep . after a while you get used to the crazy
things mom and Granny Pat do.

Mom came home about 10:30 am nick-o'clock on Christmas morning spelling like
puppies! They were born on my birthday and all have Christmas names like me.
The three boys are "Magi's Gift", "Myrrh of Aden" and "Midnight Clear". The
only girl is "Merry Christmas" and she looks just like ME! Isn't that too
kewl! My grandchildren were born on my birthday as a special present to me!

Merry Christmas to everybody from all of the Red Bay Gang!
