Friday Todd decided to do a little experiment with the dogs…to see what their #1 priority is. Supper, or the Momma. I had ended up being gone all day except home for a brief lunch, then it was off to help a friend at his farm. I didn’t get back until just before hound supper time. Xander is a huge momma’s boy who stresses out a little when I am gone. So around 4ish I am getting ready to leave the my friends farm and head back home. Todd said that around that time Xander was pacing the house, whining…going to the window in hopes of anything that he saw move outside might be the momma coming home. Finally just before I got home, Todd had let all 3 dogs outside into their fenced in area which is next to the garage. I pull into the garage and headed into the house. Todd is out in the sunroom, so I start making the dogs supper bowls. After that Todd has me stand in the living room just past the kitchen doorway and he goes to let the dogs in. The idea is to see if the dogs come running to me like they normally do when I come home - anytime that is way before meal time. Or do they ignore me and stay focused on getting feed. The dogs come rip roaring through the garage, through the door, and head straight to were they get feed at. (they get feed in separate areas to avoid a food aggression fight). I am talking to them, kinda calling for them from just inside the living room. Maggie and Seth totally ignore me and are laser focused on supper time. Xander however stood in the middle of the kitchen about to spilt himself apart trying to decide which way to go…to the Momma or to the food bowl. After a few frantic seconds of indecision, the Food bowl ultimately won.

I hope that all of you are doing well. Virtual hugs!
