<DIV>Barney decided to do a little sewing this evening. I was hemming a pair of pants and went to press them. Came back and found the packet of needles chewed up. Found 41 from a packet of 45, including the needle with the thread. I thought it was missing a few before he got to it, but not sure how many, so called the vet. Fortunately his wife/office manager/head tech was still there and answered the phone. I ran Barney over and she shot a film. The x-ray showed no needles, but HORRIBLE arthritis in his spine. It's almost fused, poor guy. You'd never know it though, to watch him. I wondered if he was as old as they originally said, but it sure looked like a 12 year old spine to me. What a trooper! I looked at the film tonight and the vet will look tomorrow and let me know if he is concerned about anything else. I can read enough, even on a dog, to see there are no needles though - whew! And, I was only charged $45 for the x-ray, even at 7:30 at night. I love my vet!</DIV>
