So here it is, hopefully. First time sending a photo--

On a very sad note, I found out 3 weeks ago my sweet girl has advanced lung cancer, which her Vet feels metastasized from somewhere in her stomach area. After going over all my options with her Vet and a specialist, I have decided to keep her comfortable for as long as I can. When she stops eating and her quality of life is no longer there, I will do the last loving thing I can do for her, and start her journey to the
Rainbow Bridge. Knowing I will be loosing my baby sooner rather than later is a realization I wish I was not facing.

I know just about everyone on this list has been through this as I have in the past. The one thing that I am thankful for is that I took early retirement last July, and I have been able to spend a lot of quality time with her since then. Now, knowing her time is limited, I can spoil her even more than she already is--be home spending quality time with her instead of being at work knowing my girl was home alone dying a little every day--and feeding her "Fried Rice" her most favorite food in the world!! I told her I think she was Asian in another life. :o))

Right now she is comfortable and doesn't know she is sick. She is on 20 mg. of Prednisone a day and a cough suppresent that is made by request only--the Vet calls the pharmacy and they make it that
day.
She also takes Pepcid AC twice a day to counteract the affects of the Pred. on her digestive system. So I will continue what I'm doing and pray I have a lot more time with my girl----she is my heart & my soul!!

Lainee & TicTac the queen "B"
"B" for Basset of course &
Patches & Pockets ATB
