<DIV>Ok, this is a bit strange, but I need some drool for my Newfie Ace. When he was a puppy, he had a weird growth on the roof of his mouth which we had removed. All has been just fine. Well, for a while now, he's been doing the weird slurpy thing (like peanut butter on the roof of his mouth) that he did when he had the mass. I keep looking in there and all looks fine. Well....today, stupid mom finally noticed that it looked like thick tissue or tumor around a lower canine. Hmmm, on closer inspection, it's his lip! Impaled and pierced on the canine! I don't know how long it's been that way, but I fear a while. I took it off, but 5 minutes later looked again and it was back on there. Took it off again and it just gets hung up. Guess it's the way his lips are, and I think there is just a hole there now. I feel AWFUL! Poor guy, every time he eats, barks, moves his mouth...with those big black lips I just didn't see it. We have a vet appt tomorrow morning to see if they need to put a stitch in it or have other suggestions to get it healed, but I cringe every time I look at him now. I'm such a bad mommy!!!</DIV>

<DIV>As a side note, Kahuna got to run with the Big Dogs yesterday as he came along with Ace and me to the Newfie Nationals in Warwick, RI for the day. He had a blast!</DIV>
