No one wants to be the cause of a problem of any kind in one's neighborhood but it sounds to me like it is your neighbors who are the problem,<b> not</b> you. Your walks are taking place during the day and you and your hound(s) are minding your business. If the complainers dogs bark while you are passing by, well, that's just what dogs do. You are not taunting them - it's just a normal response. It sounds to me like you are being harassed my the other dog owners. As long as you don't fear for your safety, I would do as you have been doing. Varying the walks is considerate but IMHO, nothing else is warranted. If you have another problem I would remind them of that public sidewalks and streets are just that - PUBLIC! <br>

Good luck, it's never easy dealing with unpleasant folks. Sometimes a firm, 'you can't intimidate me' response does the trick.<br>
