<DIV> I took my two Bassets through puppy classes and then obedience
and the trainer I have is excellent, he is extensively trained in obedience,
search and rescue and tracking , he actually worked for two doggie day care
facilities one in California and another one here in Northwest Ohio. he
doesn't really recommend them. his personal opinion is this , it is great
for the dogs to have play time, but much too often, there are too many dogs and
not enough staff to watch them. the majority of the staff have no training in
dog handling and they don't have a clue as to what they are doing,
in other words, they are NOT watching the dogs.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Now , onto the Baileys, I will have to try that ! I drink lots
of coffee and that sounds like something I might like, Actually , I
only use to drink an occasional glass of wine during the holiday season,
that was when I had two passive companions, Lucy my Basset and Fergie my
miniature dachshund, NOW, I have two Young Bassets and since I
just recently acquired ANNIE who is 7 months old today, I
drink a large bottle of wine every week !!!!! some times if we are
having a BAD week, I have to crack open a second bottle . I can just about
imagine what my recycle trash man that I have had for the last 10 years must
think ?????</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>What did you say to get to spray on the furniture so they don't chew it
???? Annie has chewed the corners off of three end tables ! and both
my ottomans. literally ripped apart every toy we
have ( poor Maggie ) and has torn the stuffing out of
two doggie beds, while I am cleaning up one mess she runs and gets into
something else. She is getting plenty of exercise, running around the yard, and
I take them both for two walks every day , Plus I run her through her
dog training exercises and she still is a turd head !!!! If I didn't
love her so much, I could hate her, she is that BAD !!!! she is why
I drink wine !!!! Annie is my first chewer and I am going crazy !
She is also a big bully and is constantly knocking poor Maggie down to the
ground, every time you look at her , she is either chewing something
or sitting and pinning Maggie to the ground.</DIV>
<DIV>when I am outside with them, I will allow Maggie to run free and I tether
Annie to a cable lead on my clothes line so she can still run, but she can't get
to Maggie. any suggestions ?????? HELP ! she
is in OBEDIENCE classes. which she does great in, like a little
angle he he he but she is like Dr. Jackle
and Mr Hyde.</DIV>
