HI everyone,]
I continue to be amazed by the outpouring of prayer, information, and friendship I am getting!
Well after the bath last night, (man did they stink!) They had rolled in someone's poop-ick!

The vet did a quick look over when David got them out of the woods. but I did a count your toes session (just like you would do with a newborn) with each dog. Both are mosquito bitten in every place there is no fur, inside ears, around the eyes and on bellies. The bellys are all scratched as are their chests. Brings me to wonder, how does a basset hound bottom out? I guess they do! Their feet are in good condition, no cuts to pads, and the nails are all fine. Mouths are fine, eyes are a little icky-they both seemed constipated. Hmmmmm.

Daisy is a much "better built" dog if you will. She is very sturdy-well muscled, big boned and had an extra couple of pounds on her. ' A perfect reason to have a dog with an extra pound ;-) Lilly on the other hand is a much smaller dog, Her bones are more slight than Daisy, and she isn't as "built" (well muscled) and had not one extra once on her body. She didn't fare as well as Daisy. Both crashed hard last night, but Daisy was ready to run tonight after a day's rest. Lilly's hind end is rather stiff, and she is limping quite a bit. She has an appointment on Monday to have her 2nd distemper shot (no vet records could prove she ever had them) so she will be looked at then. Until then, she is on couch rest with a baby asprin every day until she sees the vet lady. Daisy can go on a leash!

I sure do wish they could talk. I would love to hear what they did! In the meantime, thank you for all the suggestions on finding them, and yes, a pillow in a tree certainly looked funny, even though at the time it was hard to smile. I will keep you all posted on the healing process. But for now, I am headed to the bed with the remote to snuggle with Lilly Bug Blue Eye. Daisy is under David's feet while he is on the computer.....we each have our babies back!

Thank you all again. You are all so wonderful. I am so thankful!
Drool and snooters to all that need it. Give your kiddos a belly rub and ear scritches tonight - remember,
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery - today is the present
